Corrigendum Changes

Utkal University issued a corrigendum dated 18 June 2026 for Advertisement Nos. 5791, 5792 and 5793 dated 18 May 2026, covering Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor recruitment.

  • Online application deadline: extended from 20 June 2026 to 29 June 2026.
  • Hard-copy receipt deadline: extended from 29 June 2026 to 10 July 2026.
  • Vacancies, age limit, qualifications, fees and other conditions: unchanged as per the corrigendum.

  • Teach undergraduate and postgraduate students in the assigned department as per the approved curriculum
  • Prepare lesson plans, study materials, lab manuals and question papers for semester examinations
  • Guide MPhil and PhD research scholars and supervise their dissertations
  • Conduct independent research and publish papers in UGC-CARE and Scopus-indexed journals
  • Evaluate student assignments, term papers, internal assessments and final examinations
  • Participate in Board of Studies, Academic Council and departmental committee meetings
  • Attend faculty development programmes, workshops, seminars and refresher courses
  • Take part in administrative duties assigned by the Head of Department or Vice-Chancellor

Master's Degree with at least 55% marks in the relevant subject (50% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD) plus UGC NET/SET/SLET qualified OR PhD as per UGC Regulations

वांछित योग्यता

PhD in the concerned subject with research publications. Specific specialization preferred for Philosophy (Continental Philosophy) and Physics (Electronics/Instrumentation/Computer Science).

Selected Assistant Professors will get a salary in Academic Level 10 (Rs. 57,700 to Rs. 1,82,400 per month) as per 7th CPC and UGC pay scale, plus DA, HRA and other allowances.

Go to the Odisha HIMS portal at hims.odisha.gov.in, fill the online application, upload documents, pay the fee online and submit before 20 June 2026. Also send the hard copy by Speed Post to The Registrar, Utkal University, Vani Vihar, Bhubaneswar - 751004 by 29 June 2026.

Selection is through scrutiny of applications, interview by the Selection Committee, and document verification. There is no written examination — final selection is based on academic record, NET/PhD qualifications and interview performance.
