UOC Assistant Professor Engineering Recruitment 2026: Overview
University of Calicut (UOC) is recruiting Assistant Professors (Higher Grade) on contract for its Institute of Engineering and Technology in Kerala. Service Conditions and Caveats
- Initial engagement: Your first appointment is for one year. The notice describes an overall contract period of five years, with further engagement depending on a performance assessment at the end of each year.
- Contract limit: After five years, the appointment ends. The university says it will not continue the same appointees under this arrangement and will issue a fresh notice to select new candidates from new rank lists.
- Rank lists: The university will use the lists prepared through this notice to fill the existing openings. It also keeps the decision on filling future openings from these lists with the university, so the notice does not promise a later appointment.
