The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) is hiring 2 Assistant Director (Technology) posts at its Technology Centre in Bengaluru. These positions are on deputation basis (Foreign Service terms) and carry a pay scale of Rs. 56,100 to Rs. 1,77,500 per month (Pay Matrix Level 10). The last date to apply is 11 May 2026. UIDAI Assistant Director (Technology) Recruitment 2026 — 2 Posts

UIDAI, the authority behind India's Aadhaar programme, is looking for technology professionals to join its Bengaluru Technology Centre on deputation. This is an excellent opportunity for Central/State Government officers, PSU employees, and autonomous body officials with a background in engineering or computer applications. The original vacancy circular (VC ID: 19435) was issued on 10 October 2025, and the application deadline has been extended to 11 May 2026 via circular dated 27 March 2026.

Who Can Apply?

Essential Qualification

• Educational qualification: Four-year degree in Engineering or Technology (B.E./B.Tech) OR Master's Degree in Computer Applications (MCA) from a Government-recognized institute
• Service requirement: Officers from the Central Government holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre/department, OR with 3 years of regular service in Pay Matrix Level 9 (Rs. 53,100 - Rs. 1,67,800), OR with 4 years of regular service in Pay Matrix Level 8 (Rs. 47,600 - Rs. 1,51,100), OR with 6 years of regular service in Pay Matrix Level 7 (Rs. 44,900 - Rs. 1,42,400)
• Also eligible: Officers from State/UT Government, Public Sector Undertakings, or Autonomous Organizations holding regular posts in corresponding grades with the required experience
• Government service: At least 5 years of completed government service is mandatory
• Residual service: Minimum 3 years remaining as on the closing date

Desirable Qualification

• Experience in Project Management, Procurement/RFP Preparation, ICT projects, e-Governance, Networking, Telecom, or Information Security

Age Limit

• Maximum age: Below 56 years as on the closing date for application
• Age reference date: 09 December 2025 (the original closing date is used to determine eligibility)

Salary

• Pay Matrix Level: Level 10 under the 7th Central Pay Commission
• Basic pay range: Rs. 56,100 to Rs. 1,77,500 per month
• Allowances: DA, HRA, Transport Allowance, and other benefits as per UIDAI (Salary, Allowances and other Terms and Conditions of Service of Employees) Regulations, 2020
• Medical facilities: Eligible for CGHS (if already enrolled) or UIDAI Medical Reimbursement Scheme
• Deputation period: 5 years (minimum 3 years, as per lending organization's policy)

Selection Process

Note: Officers holding analogous posts in the parent organisation may be preferred. There is no written exam for this recruitment.
