TNJFU Assistant Professor Aquaculture Recruitment 2026

TNJFU Assistant Professor Recruitment 2026: Overview

Tamil Nadu Dr. J. Jayalalithaa Fisheries University (TNJFU) is hiring an Assistant Professor on a contractual basis for the Department of Aquaculture at its Fisheries College and Research Institute (FCRI), Thoothukudi. The job mixes undergraduate teaching with support for the department's research and extension work. The post is purely temporary, so treat it as a fixed-term teaching role rather than a regular faculty appointment. If you hold an M.F.Sc. in Aquaculture or a closely related fisheries subject, you can apply; a Ph.D. or NET lifts both your chances and your pay band.

You will be based at the FCRI campus in Thoothukudi on the Tamil Nadu coast. Pay is tiered by qualification: M.F.Sc. holders with a Ph.D. sit in the top band, followed by M.F.Sc. with NET, then M.F.Sc. alone.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Engagement: Contractual and purely temporary; the notice does not promise regular appointment.
• Age: Governed by Tamil Nadu Government rules; the notice prints no fixed age limit.
