Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC), through its Public Health Department under the National Urban Health Mission (NUHM), has released a notification to fill 6 Pharmacist posts on a contract basis. The posts are reserved as SC (1), NT-B (1), NT-D (1) and SEBC (3). Only candidates who are residents of Maharashtra can apply. This is a good chance for D.Pharma and B.Pharma holders who want to work in a government urban health setup in Thane on an eleven-month contract.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have a D.Pharma or B.Pharma degree.
• Preference: Candidates with clinical experience in a government or private hospital and registration with the Maharashtra State Pharmacy Council will be given preference.
• Domicile: You must be a resident of Maharashtra and submit a valid domicile certificate.
• Computer Skills: An MS-CIT certificate is required.
• Small Family: You must submit a small family declaration as per government rules.

Age Limit

• Open category: 18 to 38 years as on the date the advertisement was published.
• Reserved category (SC/NT-B/NT-D/SEBC): 18 to 43 years.
• There is no upper age limit for candidates already working under the National Health Mission.

Salary

• You will get a fixed monthly honorarium of Rs. 17,000.
• This is a consolidated pay for the contractual period of 11 months and 29 days — no separate allowances are given.

• Open category: Rs. 750
• Reserved category (SC/NT-B/NT-D/SEBC): Rs. 500
• Pay the fee by Demand Draft of a nationalised bank in favour of "Integrated Health and Family Welfare Society". The fee is non-refundable.

Selection Process

There is no written exam. Selection is based on a 100-mark merit calculation:

1. Qualifying Exam Marks: Up to 50 marks, based on your final-year percentage.
2. Higher Qualification: Up to 20 marks for education above the required qualification.
3. Relevant Experience: Up to 30 marks (6 marks for each year of relevant experience).
4. Document Verification: Candidates are called for document checking in a 1:3 ratio based on the merit list, with original certificates.
