BRIC-Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI), an autonomous institute under the Biotechnology Research and Innovation Council, Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India, is hiring for its groundbreaking influenza vaccine research project. The positions are based at the NCR Biotech Science Cluster in Faridabad, Haryana. This is a first-of-its-kind project in India focused on building a sham-controlled human challenge model using influenza vaccines to accelerate early clinical validation of novel vaccines and immunotherapies. Who Can Apply?

For Consultant & Head Pharmacology (Rs. 3,00,000/month):

• Qualification: M.D. in Pharmacology from an MCI-recognized university
• Experience: At least 5 years of post-qualification experience in clinical pharmacology
• Mandatory: You must have a valid medical registration certificate
• Desirable: Experience in healthy volunteer studies, D.M. in Clinical Pharmacology

For Consultant - Study Coordinator (Rs. 1,25,000/month):

• Qualification: MBBS / M.Pharma / BAMS / BHMS / BNYS / BUMS / B.Sc. Nursing or any related degree from a recognized university
• Experience: At least 3 years of post-qualification experience in clinical research coordination at a unit managing healthy volunteer studies
• Desirable: Experience in facing international inspections of healthy volunteer clinical pharmacology units

Age Limit

• Consultant & Head Pharmacology: Maximum 50 years
• Consultant (Study Coordinator): Maximum 35 years
• Age is calculated as on the closing date of online application, i.e., 31 March 2026
• SC/ST: 5 years relaxation
• OBC: 3 years relaxation
• PwBD (UR): 10 years relaxation
• PwBD (OBC): 13 years relaxation
• PwBD (SC/ST): 15 years relaxation
• Central Government Servants: Up to 5 years relaxation
• Ex-Servicemen: Relaxation equal to service rendered in defence forces plus 3 years (minimum 6 months attested service required)

Salary

• Consultant & Head Pharmacology: Rs. 3,00,000 per month (consolidated)
• Consultant (Study Coordinator): Rs. 1,25,000 per month (consolidated)
• These are consolidated emoluments for project-based contractual positions

• Define the strategic roadmap for early clinical development and Controlled Human Infection Model units, aligning with global translational research standards
• Manage and oversee the functioning of the Early Clinical Development facility and Controlled Human Infection Model facility at the Medical Research Centre
• Design and conduct first-in-human and dose-escalation studies along with pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic assessments
• Coordinate all study activities and timelines related to Phase I and Controlled Human Infection Model studies with sponsors
• Ensure proper documentation, data capture, and record maintenance as per CDSCO and ICH requirements
• Oversee volunteer recruitment, scheduling, biological sample processing, labelling, and storage
• Serve as the primary contact for regulatory bodies, clinical research associates, and sponsor auditors
• Enforce robust Standard Operating Procedures for end-to-end unit functioning with high quality management standards
