Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI) is recruiting project staff for research at its Faridabad campus. The active roles belong to two very different research programmes: one studies tuberculosis virulence and host-pathogen signalling, while the other builds a mathematical model and web application for whole-body lipid metabolism. Posts and Disciplines

• Project Associate-I, infectious-disease research: this role supports work on bovine tuberculosis, genomic differences, drug resistance and host-pathogen interactions. It suits someone comfortable with laboratory assays, molecular biology and research-data analysis.
• Senior Project Associate, mathematical modelling: this role leads computational work for a whole-body lipid-metabolism model linked to non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. The work combines mathematical modelling, numerical simulation and large-data analysis.
• Project Associate-I, web application development: this role turns the metabolism model into a usable web-based application. It combines programming, databases and interface design with a research setting.

Post-wise Duties

Project Associate-I for infectious-disease research

You will carry out immunological, biochemical and molecular-biology work, maintain mammalian cell cultures, analyse assay results and support inhibitor-screening studies. You will also work with PCR, cloning, RNA extraction, cDNA preparation and real-time RT-PCR where the project needs them.

Senior Project Associate for mathematical modelling

You will develop and analyse the mathematical model, run numerical or network-based studies and lead the laboratory's computational analysis. The project connects mathematical methods with biological metabolism, so your work will need clear documentation and collaboration with the research team.

Project Associate-I for web development

You will build the web application and its user-friendly interface, connect it with suitable databases and help convert the research model into software that others can use. The notification points to Python and modern web technologies as useful tools for this assignment.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Short-term engagement: these appointments are tied to their projects. Extension depends on satisfactory performance and the remaining project tenure, and the appointment does not create a claim for regular employment.
• Eligibility cut-off: age, qualifications and experience are checked with reference to the interview date for the relevant role.
• Screening: when turnout is high, THSTI may shortlist people with stronger or more relevant qualifications and experience before the main assessment.
• Communication: results and notices appear on the THSTI website, while individual communication is sent by email.
