The Office of the District Programme Officer, Child Development, Sonbhadra has released a notification for 201 Anganwadi Karyakartri (Worker) posts across the Bamhani, Chatra, Chopan, Duddhi, Ghorawal, Myorpur, Nagwa and Robertsganj Child Development Projects. This recruitment follows UP Government Order No. 1/1092245/2025/3313 dated 17.09.2025 and is open only to women candidates who are residents of the same Gram Sabha/Ward as the vacant post. No written exam or interview is required — selection is purely on merit based on your Intermediate to Post-Graduation marks.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have passed Intermediate (12th) or an equivalent exam. Post-Graduate qualification is also accepted. Merit is prepared using your percentage marks from Intermediate up to Post-Graduation — your High School (10th) marks are not counted.
• Gender: Only women candidates are eligible for this post.
• Domicile: You must be a resident of the same Gram Sabha or Ward (for urban areas) where the Anganwadi Karyakartri post is vacant.
• Priority order: Widows and legally divorced/abandoned women from families living below the poverty line get first preference, followed by other women from BPL families, then the same order for families above the poverty line.

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 35 years old as on 01 July 2026.
• Your date of birth as recorded in your High School mark sheet/certificate will be considered final.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is done in 1 stage:

1. Merit List: Prepared using your percentage of marks from Intermediate up to Post-Graduation. There is no written test or interview for this post.

Priority is given based on marital/economic status (widow, divorced/abandoned, or general) within the below-poverty-line and above-poverty-line categories, as explained in the Who Can Apply section.

2. Fill in the online application form carefully in the prescribed format.
3. Upload self-attested, clear copies of your residence, caste and income certificates and other required documents.
4. Make sure your residence and caste certificates are the online digitally-signed ones issued by the Tehsil, and your income certificate follows the applicable UP Government format — these must be verifiable online.
5. Submit the form before the deadline.

• Run daily activities at the Anganwadi Centre for children aged 0-6 years, pregnant women and nursing mothers
• Provide supplementary nutrition, health check-ups and referral services to children and mothers
• Conduct pre-school education activities for children under the ICDS scheme
• Maintain records and registers of beneficiaries at the Anganwadi Centre
• Organize health and nutrition awareness sessions for the community
• Coordinate with ASHA workers, ANMs and the Anganwadi Sahayika for health and immunization camps
• Report growth monitoring and nutrition data to the Child Development Project Officer
