Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu (SKUAST-Jammu) has released Advertisement Notice No. 02 to engage one contractual Assistant Professor in Sanskrit for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students in the Faculty of Agriculture, Chatha, Jammu. The engagement is a purely academic arrangement for the 2026-27 session, initially for one semester and extendable by one more semester based on need. This is a good short-term teaching opening for Sanskrit postgraduates who have completed their Ph.D and cleared the national eligibility test.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: Ph.D in Sanskrit with high second class (at least 55% marks) from a recognised university.
• NET/SLET/SET: You must have qualified NET, SLET or SET as per UGC norms.
• Experience: Experience as an Assistant Professor (or equivalent, on contract) in any Government-recognised Sanskrit University is considered.

Age Limit

• No fixed upper age limit is given in the notice. In case of an age bar, the Government recruitment rules of SKUAST-Jammu will apply.

Salary

• You will get a fixed salary of Rs. 45,000 per month as a contractual Assistant Professor.
• The pay is strictly as per SKUAST-Jammu guidelines. No TA/DA is paid for attending the interview.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is based on an interview:

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
