SGPGIMS Project Associate I Recruitment 2026: Overview

Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS), Lucknow is recruiting a Project Associate-I for an externally funded study in Paediatric Gastroenterology. The Department of Health Research funds this work, led by principal investigator Dr. Moinak Sen Sarma.

The project examines paediatric Wilson disease in North India. It looks at the relationship between genetic findings, disease presentation and the effectiveness of chelation therapy, placing the engagement within a specific clinical research study.

The appointment is tied to the research project and is temporary. If you are considering the post, distinguish this project engagement from an ongoing institute appointment when assessing whether its duration fits your plans.

Service Conditions and Caveats

  • Project duration: The notice states that the project is valid until 7 March 2027. This gives you the project horizon to consider before accepting the engagement.
  • Ending the appointment: Either you or the institute can end the appointment with one month’s notice. This condition applies even though the project has a stated validity period.
  • Interview travel: The institute will not pay travel or daily allowances for attending the interview. You will need to plan for those costs yourself if called.
