SGPGIMS, Lucknow has released Advertisement No. I/34/ER/ACAD/2026-27 to fill 70 faculty posts of Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor for its Advanced Pediatric Center - Phase I. The posts are spread across eleven pediatric sub-specialty departments: General Pediatrics, Pediatric Pulmonology, Pediatric Neurology, Pediatric Oncology, Pediatric Cardiology, Pediatric Gastroenterology (including Pediatric Hepatology), Pediatric Surgical Superspecialities, Pediatric and Neonatal Anaesthesia, Pediatric Critical Care, Pediatric Emergency Medicine, and Pediatric Radiodiagnosis. Doctors with a strong academic and research background in any of these fields are encouraged to apply for the post and level that matches their qualification and experience.

Who Can Apply?

Eligibility for each post level follows the National Medical Commission (NMC) Teachers Eligibility Qualifications Regulations and SGPGIMS recruitment rules. Your qualification, teaching experience and research experience will all be counted as on 31 August 2026.

For Assistant Professor (Level-12 - Rs. 1,01,500 to Rs. 1,67,400/month):

• You need a postgraduate medical degree (MD/MS) or an equivalent recognized qualification in the relevant Pediatric specialty, along with the minimum teaching and research experience specified in the detailed advertisement.

For Associate Professor (Level-13A-1 - Rs. 1,38,300 to Rs. 2,09,200/month):

• You need a postgraduate or superspecialty medical qualification (MD/DM/MCh) with additional years of teaching and research experience beyond the Assistant Professor requirement.

For Professor (Level-14A - Rs. 1,68,900 to Rs. 2,20,400/month):

• You need a superspecialty medical qualification (DM/MCh) with senior-level teaching, research and administrative experience as prescribed for the post.

One Assistant Professor post is reserved for Pediatric Hepatology under the Pediatric Gastroenterology department. Salary

• Assistant Professor: Rs. 1,01,500 to Rs. 1,67,400 per month (Level-12, 7th CPC Pay Matrix)
• Associate Professor: Rs. 1,38,300 to Rs. 2,09,200 per month (Level-13A-1)
• Professor: Rs. 1,68,900 to Rs. 2,20,400 per month (Level-14A)
• You will also get DA, HRA, NPA and other allowances as per Government of India / SGPGIMS rules.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

The selection will be done in 3 stages:

1. Screening of Applications: Your qualifications, publications and experience will be checked against the eligibility criteria for the post and specialty you applied for.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for a personal interview by the Selection Committee, which will assess your clinical expertise, teaching aptitude and research record.
3. Document Verification: Your original certificates, mark sheets and experience letters will be verified before final appointment.
