Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), a Maharatna Central Public Sector Enterprise and India's leading steel-making company, has released Advertisement No. RSP/R-YP/2026-01 dated 03 July 2026 to engage 23 Young Professionals (YPs) on a fixed-term basis across 15 specialized roles spanning engineering, data science, HR, and finance. The initial engagement is for 3 years, extendable by up to 2 more years based on performance. Who Can Apply?

Young Professional-1 (YP-1) — Engineering & Technical Roles (Rs. 70,000/month):

• Qualification: B.E./B.Tech (Full-Time) in the relevant discipline (Civil, Electrical, Computer Science, or Mechanical) or equivalent from a Govt.-recognized University/Institute
• Experience: 3+ years of post-qualification experience in Design, Automation, AI/ML, Project Execution, or Data Analytics, gained at a PSU, Government organisation, or private firm with a valid CIN

Young Professional-1 (YP-1) — F&A (Sales & Main Accounts) (Rs. 70,000/month):

• Qualification: CA / CMA / MBA (Finance) with 3+ years of post-qualification experience in accounts, taxation, or ERP/SAP

Young Professional-1 (YP-1) — HR, Digital Learning & Leadership Consultants (MTI, Ranchi) (Rs. 70,000/month):

• Qualification: Bachelor's/Master's degree in a relevant discipline with certifications in Instructional Design, HR, or Leadership Development, as applicable to the role

Young Professional-1 (YP-1) — 3D Animator, Data Scientist, Data Architect (Rs. 70,000/month):

• Qualification: BE/B.Tech or Graduate with 3+ years of relevant experience in 3D animation, data science, or data architecture

Young Professional-2 (YP-2) — Blast Furnace Process Expert (Rs. 1,00,000/month):

• Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Metallurgical Engineering or equivalent, with 6+ years of experience in Blast Furnace operations at an Integrated Steel Plant

Young Professional-3 (YP-3) — Vibration Analyst and Rotor Dynamics Expert (Rs. 1,40,000/month):

• Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, Vibration Analyst (Cat-II) certified, with 10+ years of experience in Condition Monitoring, including 3+ years in an Integrated Steel Plant

Age Limit

• You must have completed 23 years of age to apply.
• Upper age limit (as on 03 July 2026): 35 years for most YP-1 roles, 38 years for the YP-2 Blast Furnace Process Expert role, and 42 years for the YP-3 Vibration Analyst role.

Salary

• Young Professional-1 (YP-1): Rs. 70,000 per month (consolidated retainership fee)
• Young Professional-2 (YP-2): Rs. 1,00,000 per month
• Young Professional-3 (YP-3): Rs. 1,40,000 per month
• You can also get an annual increment of 4% to 10% of your monthly fee based on your performance rating.
• Other benefits include company accommodation (subject to availability), medical facility (OPD/IPD) at the company hospital, and travel reimbursement for official tours.

Application Fee

• All candidates (YP-1, YP-2, YP-3): Rs. 500 processing fee
• Payment mode: Online through Net Banking, Credit Card, or ATM-cum-Debit Card
• Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.

Selection Process

The selection will be done in these stages:

1. Screening of Applications: Checked against the eligibility criteria for the grade you applied for.
2. Computer Based Test (CBT): 100 MCQs (50 Technical/Professional + 50 Aptitude) in 90 minutes. Candidates are shortlisted for Personal Interaction at a ratio of 1:3 per grade, in order of merit. There is no minimum qualifying mark for CBT.
3. Personal Interaction: Assesses your work experience, qualifications, and professional achievements. Final merit combines CBT and Personal Interaction marks in an 80:20 weightage. If selection is through Personal Interaction only, the minimum qualifying mark is 50%.
4. Medical Examination: You must submit a general medical fitness certificate before joining.
