RITES Multi Post Engineer Recruitment 2026: Overview
RITES Limited is engaging individual engineering consultants for railway infrastructure assignments in Haryana. The notice brings signalling supervision, billing and signalling design roles together under the same application window. These are client-linked consultancy assignments, with deployment depending on project needs and approval of the selected person’s profile.
Posts and Disciplines
- Senior Resident Engineer / S&T: A signalling and telecommunications assignment in Haryana, linked to railway signalling infrastructure and experience with project consultants, construction agencies or railway organisations.
- QS and Billing Engineer: A civil engineering assignment in Haryana, linked to estimates, billing, budgets and cost control for railway infrastructure or other qualifying works.
- Drawing and Design Engineer / S&T: A railway signalling design assignment in Haryana, covering the discipline represented by signalling consultants, contractors and electronic interlocking system suppliers.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Independent consultant status: You work under a consultancy contract. The agreement does not create an employer–employee relationship with RITES or make you a member of its staff.
- Tenure: The initial engagement and tentative project duration are 12 months. Extensions depend on performance and project needs, with annual reviews against defined performance indicators. An extension is for the same project.
- Client approval: RITES shares suitable profiles with its client. An engagement letter depends on the client accepting your profile, while continuation depends on the client still needing the service.
- Deployment: Starting work depends on the award of work and the project or company’s needs. Being found suitable does not by itself settle your deployment.
- Leave: The notice allows 1.5 days of leave for each completed month, without carrying the balance beyond the calendar year. It also describes unpaid absence and maternity leave under the applicable conditions.
- Insurance: You are responsible for arranging the insurance needed for your contractual obligations, as well as any personal life or health cover you choose for the assignment.
- Confidentiality and ownership: Work-related information must remain confidential. RITES owns the project materials and intellectual property created under the contract, and its equipment must be returned when the work ends.
- Ending the contract: The normal notice period is one month for either party. The contract also reserves RITES’ power to terminate without prior notice or reasons.
- Police checks and release: A negative police report ends the contract immediately. If you currently work elsewhere, you must be properly relieved before joining.

You need a recognised engineering diploma in the relevant discipline and the post-specific experience. A relevant degree is preferred and carries a shorter experience threshold: 7 years for Senior Resident Engineer and 4 years for the other roles, alongside specialist requirements.

You first attend document scrutiny on 13-14 October 2026. Shortlisted applicants proceed to an interview on 15-16 October 2026; client approval of the profile is also needed for engagement.
