NSPCL Senior Officer and Engineer Recruitment 2026: Overview
NTPC-SAIL Power Company Limited (NSPCL), a joint venture of NTPC Limited and Steel Authority of India Limited, is recruiting Senior Assistant Officers and Senior Assistant Engineers for its executive cadre. NSPCL operates power units at Bhilai, Durgapur and Rourkela and also supplies power in the Union Territories of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu and in Chhattisgarh. Posts and Disciplines
- Human Resources: An officer role covering line HR work, industrial relations, personnel administration, policy support and workforce coordination.
- Law: A legal officer role focused on contracts, legal documents, disputes, statutory compliance and coordination with advocates or authorities.
- Electrical: An engineering role for electrical systems used in power-station operation, maintenance, commissioning and project work.

Post-wise Duties
Senior Assistant Officer Human Resources
You will support recruitment, administration, industrial relations and employee systems while keeping HR policies and compliance records aligned across the organisation.
Senior Assistant Officer Law
You will draft and review contracts, advise on legal matters, follow disputes and work with advocates, regulators and public authorities when a case needs coordination.
Senior Assistant Engineer Electrical
You will work with electrical plant and equipment used in power generation and distribution support, including operation, maintenance, erection or commissioning assignments.
Senior Assistant Engineer Mechanical
You will support mechanical equipment through operation, maintenance and project execution, with attention to reliability, safe work and plant availability.
Senior Assistant Engineer Control and Instrumentation
You will monitor and maintain control and instrumentation systems, investigate faults and help keep automation and plant-control systems dependable.
Senior Assistant Engineer IT and ERP
You will manage IT or ERP services, network and system security, software or database work, and the digital infrastructure used by NSPCL teams.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Service agreement: Selected General-category candidates must execute a bond of Rs. 5,00,000; the amount is Rs. 2,50,000 for SC, ST and PwBD candidates. The service period is at least four years after joining.
- Posting and transfer: You may be posted at any NSPCL station, project, joint venture or subsidiary across India and can be transferred at management's discretion.
- Medical fitness: Appointment depends on meeting NSPCL's medical standards after examination by a notified, empanelled or project hospital. No relaxation in the health standards is promised.
- Single-post choice: You can apply for only one post. If you submit more than one application for the same role, NSPCL considers the latest application.
- Shortlisting: Meeting the minimum conditions does not guarantee a test or interview call; NSPCL may shortlist candidates when applications are high.
- Travel costs: NSPCL will not pay TA or DA for attending the all-India online test.
- Updates: Any addendum, corrigendum or recruitment update will appear on the NSPCL website, and email is the stated channel for candidate communication.

The All India online selection test has two parts: the Subject Knowledge Test (SKT) and Executive Aptitude Test (EAT). You must qualify in both parts to be considered for shortlisting.
Test Components

- Executive Aptitude Test: Aptitude questions for executive-level work
Final Weightage: The online test carries 85% weightage and the personal interview carries 15%. The notification does not state the question count, total marks, duration or negative-marking rule.
