NIIMH SRF Botany Recruitment 2026: Overview
National Institute of Indian Medical Heritage (NIIMH), Hyderabad, is engaging a Senior Research Fellow in Botany for its SAMPADA project. The project concerns the study and archiving of materials and practices associated with Ahara, Dravya and Acara rituals, with an inventory in digital and print form. This is a project-linked contract under the institute's intramural research programme, with provision to attend the recruitment exercise in person or online.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Initial tenure: The appointment is initially for six months. Its continuation depends on your performance and the needs of the project, so you should treat it as a limited project engagement.
- Changes to tenure: The competent authority at NIIMH Hyderabad can shorten or extend the contract according to project requirements and individual performance. The initial period does not create an assurance of an extension.
- Nature of appointment: The role is entirely contractual and tied to the project. The notice rules out a claim to regular appointment, and the engagement can end under its contractual conditions.
- Travel expenses: NIIMH will not pay travel or daily allowance for attending. You should account for your own travel arrangements if you choose to visit the institute.

Postgraduate degree in Botany from a recognised university/institution.
वांछित योग्यता
PhD or prior research-project experience funded by the Ministry of Ayush, ICMR, CSIR, DST or an equivalent organisation is preferred.
आवश्यक कौशल
Desirable: drafting and editing scientific documents, articles and technical reports; publications in peer-reviewed journals; working knowledge of computer applications.
