Nagaon University in Assam is looking for its Registrar, the university's senior administrative post. The university is a public State University created by upgrading Nowgong College (Autonomous) under Assam Act No. LIX of 2023, and this is a fresh selection for its top administrative office.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Term: A five-year term, with the option of re-appointment.
• Governing rules: All terms of appointment follow the Act and Statutes of Nagaon University.
• Probation: The appointment stays temporary until you are confirmed after a probation of at least one year, which can be extended.
• Shortlisting: Meeting the minimum eligibility does not guarantee an interview call; the Screening Committee decides the shortlist and its decision is final.
• Medical fitness: Before joining, you must produce a fitness certificate signed by the Joint Director of Health Services of your district or a Government Medical Officer. The university may also send you to its own doctor.
• Reservation note: For reserved-category candidates, the university will follow the Supreme Court order in Civil Appeal No. 1085 arising out of SLP No. 36324 of 2017.
• No travel allowance: No TA/DA is paid for attending the interview or any written test.
• Right to withdraw: The university can withdraw the post or decide not to fill it at any time.
• Canvassing: Any canvassing leads to disqualification.
