MPPSC Assistant Town Planner Recruitment 2026

Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) has released the official notification for 39 Assistant Town Planner posts. These are permanent, gazetted (Second Class) positions in the Urban Development Department (Nagariya Vikas Vibhag), Government of Madhya Pradesh.

This is a great opportunity for candidates with a background in town planning, architecture, or civil engineering. The pay scale is attractive at Level 10 under the 7th Pay Commission.

• Main vacancies (87%): UR - 10, SC - 6, ST - 8, OBC - 11, EWS - 4 (Total: 34)

Who Can Apply

• Qualification: 4-year Bachelor's Degree in Town Planning from a recognized institution. This includes Town/Urban/Regional Planning, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or equivalent degrees from AICTE/UGC recognized institutions. OR A.I.T.P. examination.
• Note: B.E./M.E. in Traffic & Transportation is NOT accepted.
• Age Limit: Minimum 21 years, Maximum 40 years (as on 01-01-2027)
• Age Relaxation: SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates of Madhya Pradesh get up to 5 years relaxation. Maximum age after all relaxations is 45 years.

Salary

Selected candidates will get a pay scale of Rs. 56,100-1,77,500 per month (Level 10, 7th CPC). You will also get DA, HRA, TA, and other allowances as per Madhya Pradesh Government rules.

Selection Process

1. Written Exam - OMR-based objective exam with negative marking. Exam centre: Indore only. Qualifying marks: UR 31/100 or above, reserved categories as per rules.
2. Interview - Up to 3 times the number of vacancies per category will be called for interview.

Other Important Points

• Madhya Pradesh domicile is mandatory for reserved category candidates
