The Directorate of School Education (DSE), Government of Mizoram is hiring 15 Lower Division Clerks (LDC-PE) for its office in Aizawl. The Directorate of School Education, Government of Mizoram has issued Advertisement No. 1 of 2026/SED dated 4 August 2026 to fill 15 Lower Division Clerk (PE) posts. Of the total vacancies, 13 are unreserved, while 1 post is reserved for PwD candidates and 1 post is reserved for Ex-servicemen. Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have passed HSSLC (Higher Secondary) from a recognised institution.
• Computer Certificate: You need a Diploma in Computer Application (Semester-I) or a Certificate Course in Computer Application (or higher) from an institution recognised by AICTE or the Central/State Government.
• Typing Speed: You must be able to type at least 30 words per minute.
• Local Language: You need working knowledge of the Mizo language, at least up to Middle School Standard.

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 35 years old as on 15 September 2026.
• Age Relaxation: SC/ST candidates get an extra 5 years beyond the upper limit, taking it up to 40 years.
• Ex-servicemen: Age relaxation is given as per Rule 5 of the Mizoram Ex-servicemen (Re-employment in Civil Post) Rules, 2019.

Salary

• Selected candidates will get a starting salary of Rs. 16,920 per month under Pay Level-4 of the Mizoram Pay Matrix.
• You will also get other allowances as per Government of Mizoram rules.

Application Fee

• General Category: Rs. 200
• Scheduled Tribe / Scheduled Caste / OBC: Rs. 150
• Payment mode: Pay the fee along with your application form when you submit it at the Directorate office.

Selection Process

The notification does not spell out a formal multi-stage exam. Based on the eligibility conditions listed, your selection is expected to involve the following:

1. Document Verification: Your application form and attached certificates (educational, caste, Aadhaar, etc.) will be checked for eligibility.
2. Typing Test: You need to demonstrate a typing speed of at least 30 words per minute to qualify for the post.

How to Apply

1. Download the application form from schooleducation.mizoram.gov.in, or scan the QR code printed on the notification, or collect a physical copy from the Directorate of School Education office at Treasury Square.
2. Fill in your personal details, father's/mother's name, permanent address, phone number, date of birth, sex, community, nationality, and the post applied for (LDC-PE).
3. Attach self-attested copies of the following documents:
   • Passport-size photograph (plus 2 additional copies)
   • Birth certificate and Aadhaar card
   • Community/caste certificate (SC/ST/OBC), if applicable
   • Educational certificates and mark sheets from Class 10 (HSSLC) onward
   • Computer Application certificate/diploma
   • Proof of Mizo language proficiency, if claimed
   • PwD certificate (40% or above), if applicable
   • Ex-servicemen certificate, if applicable
4. Pay the application fee (Rs. 200 for General or Rs. 150 for SC/ST/OBC) along with your form.
5. Submit your completed application in person at the Directorate of School Education Office, Treasury Square, Aizawl, between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM.

The last date to submit your application is 15 September 2026. Applications received after this date will not be considered.
