High Court of Madras (MHC) is engaging Data Entry Operators on contract for e-Sewa Kendras at its Principal Seat and in the district judiciary. Your district choice matters because the appointment is tied to the district for which you apply.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• District choice: You can apply for only one district. If you apply for more than one, all those applications will be rejected. Consider your district choice carefully before final submission.
• Posting: If selected, you will work at an e-Sewa Kendra in the district you applied for. You cannot claim a transfer to another district.
• Contract appointment: The role does not give you a claim to permanent employment. You must accept the service terms that the High Court issues from time to time.
• Ending the engagement: The High Court may end your employment at any time without giving a reason. The notice does not promise a permanent position after the contract.
• Working hours: You may need to attend outside normal court hours, including odd hours and court holidays, when required. Consider this condition when deciding whether the posting suits you.
• Leave: You get 12 days of casual leave per year. The notice bars sandwich leave, including leave on both Friday and Monday, and specifies restrictions around national holidays on Tuesday or Thursday.
• Absence: Absence or leave beyond the permitted limit will lead to deductions from your pay. Plan your leave around the court's stated restrictions.
• Travel expenses: You cannot claim travel or daily allowances for attending the interview. The same restriction applies if you are asked to attend another e-Sewa Kendra in addition to your allotted centre.
• Application accuracy: You are responsible for every detail entered in your form, including entries made through an internet cafe or service centre. A finally submitted application cannot be edited.
• False information: Incorrect claims or ineligibility found at any point can lead to rejection. You cannot shift responsibility for errors to the person or service provider who helped you apply.
• Recruitment conduct: Canvassing and attempts to secure an appointment through agents can lead to disqualification. The court warns against people promising an appointment through unfair means.
• Updates: Check the recruitment portal and the relevant district court website for announcements. You will not receive individual postal or courier messages about the recruitment schedule.
• Venue: The district court may use its Principal District Court campus or another notified venue. Requests to change the venue will not be accepted.

• Help users obtain Aadhaar-based digital signatures and download the eCourts mobile app.
• Guide people towards the relevant legal services authority or committee for free legal assistance.
• Assist users with virtual-court traffic challans and online settlement of minor offences.
