KRCL Chief Project Manager Recruitment 2026 (Deputation)

Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL), a Government of India undertaking, is hiring 1 Chief Project Manager / Chief Engineer on deputation basis at its Corporate Office, Belapur (Navi Mumbai). Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL), under the Ministry of Railways, has issued Vacancy Notice No. DE/P/06/2026 dated 13 May 2026 for filling up 1 post of Chief Project Manager / Chief Engineer in SG/SAG scale on deputation basis at its Corporate Office, Belapur. The normal term of deputation is 3 years, extendable up to 5 years. KRCL has been permitted exemption from the rule of immediate absorption up to 31 December 2026. The selected officer will report to the Director (Way & Works) / KRCL.

Who Can Apply?

Option 1 (PML-14 / E8)

• IRSE Officer working in PML-14 of 7th CPC, OR
• Engineering Executive working in other PSU in IDA scale E8 (Rs. 1,20,000 – 2,80,000).

Option 2 (PML-13 / E6 with 16 years experience)

• Officers of IRSE cadre of Indian Railways working in PML-13 of 7th CPC with 16 years experience, OR
• Civil Engineering Executive working in other PSU in IDA scale E6 (Rs. 90,000 – 2,40,000) with 16 years experience.

Applicants will not be allowed to withdraw their names if selected for deputation.

Age Limit

• You must be below 55 years as on the date of notification.
• Qualifying requirement, experience and age limit will be reckoned as on the closing date of vacancy notice.

Salary

• SG (Senior Grade): 7th CPC Pay Matrix Level-13 (PB-4 Rs. 37,400 – 67,000 with Grade Pay Rs. 8,700).
• SAG (Senior Administrative Grade): 7th CPC Pay Matrix Level-14 (SAG/NFSAG, PB-4 Rs. 37,400 – 67,000 with Grade Pay Rs. 10,000).
• The officer will draw pay and allowances as per DOPT instructions applicable on Railways plus deputation (duty) allowance.
• Retention of railway accommodation during deputation tenure is allowed per Railway Board's policy RBE No. 027/2026 dated 23 March 2026.

Selection Process

Selection is purely on deputation basis:

1. Application Forwarding: Zonal Railways/PUs must forward applications with approval of the Competent Authority in the Ministry at least 7 days before the closing date.
2. Shortlisting: Eligible suitable applicants will be shortlisted based on eligibility and experience as per Vacancy Notice.
3. Selection Criteria: As per Ministry of Railway, Railway Board's letter No. 2017/E(O)II/41/5 dated 25 May 2017 and No. 2018/E(O)II/41/1 dated 7 March 2018.

2. Fill in the proforma with personal data, educational qualification, experience details, and details of previous deputation/foreign assignments.
3. Paste a recent passport-size photograph with signature across on Annexure 'A'.
4. Submit the application through your present employer (Zonal Railway/PU/PSU) so it is forwarded by the Railway Board. Only applications forwarded by the Railway Board will be considered.
5. Send an advance copy with all enclosures via email to hr.pdmc@krcl.co.in.
6. The application should reach KRCL on or before 4 June 2026.

• Execute construction projects, project management and maintenance of all civil engineering assets of KRCL
• Manage all buildings including station buildings, residential quarters, hospitals, sheds and workshop structures
• Oversee maintenance of goods sheds, railway tracks, sidings and allied structures along the Konkan Railway route
• Supervise construction and upkeep of bridges including Road over Bridges (ROB) and Road under Bridges (RUB)
• Report directly to the Director (Way & Works) / KRCL on project progress and engineering decisions
• Coordinate with Indian Railways, contractors, vendors and state authorities on civil engineering matters
• Ensure compliance with Railway Board policies, safety standards and DOPT/Railway service rules
• Lead the civil engineering team and mentor junior engineers in project execution best practices
