King George's Medical University (KGMU), Lucknow is hiring Project Nurses for the PrECISE study — a multicentric research project on preterm and low birth weight (LBW) baby care, funded by ICMR, New Delhi. KGMU PrECISE Project Staff Recruitment 2026 - 2 Posts

King George's Medical University (KGMU), Lucknow has invited applications for 2 project posts under the study "Preterm or LBW Care through Early CPAP, Immediate KMC and MNCU, Antenatal Steroids and Early Enteral Feeding (PrECISE)", led by Prof. S. N. Singh, Head, Department of Pediatrics. The project is funded by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), New Delhi. Post 1 involves clinical duty and data collection in the labour room, OT, MNCU and postnatal ward on a rotational shift basis, while Post 2 focuses on independent data collection from case sheets, registers and digital platforms. You can apply for only one of the two posts, based on your interest and experience. Both posts are initially for 89 days from your date of joining, and may be extended up to 6 months or the project duration — whichever is earlier — based on your performance and the Principal Investigator's recommendation.

Vacancy Breakdown

• Post 1 (Clinical Duty & Data Collection): 24x7 rotational shift duty, including night shifts, in LR, OT, MNCU and PNW.
• Post 2 (Independent Data Collection): Collecting and validating study data from case sheets, registers, exit records and digital platforms.

The exact number of posts will depend on the ICMR-sanctioned budget for the project.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: First Division or equivalent CGPA in a three-year GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) or B.Sc. Nursing course from a recognized institution, with valid registration with the Nursing Council.
• Academic Requirement: You must have passed Intermediate (Class XII) with the Science stream, and scored more than 55% marks in English as a subject in Class XII.
• Preferred (Post 1): Prior research or clinical work experience with newborns or young infants; working knowledge of digital data collection using tablets.
• Preferred (Post 2): Prior experience in research data collection or record abstraction; working knowledge of digital data collection using tablets.
• You can apply for only one of the two posts, as per your choice and experience.

Salary

• Salary for both posts will be paid as per the ICMR-sanctioned budget for the PrECISE project.

Selection Process

The selection will be done in the following stages:

1. Document Verification: Submit your application with resume, passport-size photo, and supporting documents in person.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be informed by email and must attend the interview in person.

No separate call letters will be issued, and no TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
