Kerala Public Service Commission (Kerala PSC) is recruiting Forest Boat Drivers for the Forest and Wildlife Department through recruitment by transfer. This is a departmental route for existing staff, with district-based recruitment in Thrissur and Kozhikode. Service Conditions and Caveats

• District choice: You can apply to only one district under this notification. Your choice matters because the Commission prepares a separate ranked list for each district and uses it for appointments there.
• Separate recruitment routes: If you qualify for both direct recruitment and recruitment by transfer, you need a separate application for each category. You may choose different districts for those separate categories, or select the same district in both.
• Ranked-list duration: Each district list stays active for at least one year and normally no more than three years. If a fresh list appears after the first year, the earlier list stops operating.
• Future openings: The department must report vacancies to the Commission in writing while the list remains active. The notice therefore does not promise an immediate appointment simply because your name appears in a ranked list.
• Inter-district transfer: After appointment, you must complete five continuous years of service in your original district before a transfer to another district can be considered. Completing that period does not remove the applicable transfer rules.
• Recruitment allocation: The overall arrangement assigns 70% to direct recruitment and 30% to recruitment by transfer. If the transfer lists do not provide enough candidates, the corresponding district direct-recruitment lists can be used to fill those places.
• Reservation rules: The reservation and rotation provisions in Rules 14 to 17 of Part II of the Kerala State and Subordinate Service Rules do not apply to this notification.
• Test participation: If you suffer an injury or accident during the physical efficiency test, the notice does not provide another chance to take that test. Keep this condition in mind when attending.
• Application accuracy: Acceptance of your online application is provisional. You cannot change or delete it after submission, and the Commission can reject it later if it does not meet the notification conditions.
• Claims and communication: False claims can lead to disqualification, restrictions on future applications or further action under the Commission rules. Use your User ID in correspondence and respond to messages in your profile within the period given.
