Kerala PSC is inviting applications for 1 Assistant Professor in Anaesthesiology post in the Medical Education Department, reserved exclusively for candidates from the SCCC community under the Ninth NCA (Non-Corresponding Allocation) notification. Kerala PSC has issued Category No. 098/2026, the Ninth NCA notification for the post of Assistant Professor in Anaesthesiology under the Medical Education Department. This is a special recruitment drive open only to candidates belonging to the SCCC community (Scheduled Caste Converts to Christianity and their descendants) of Kerala, issued because eight earlier NCA notifications since 2015 could not find enough eligible community candidates for this reserved vacancy. Applications from candidates of any other community will be summarily rejected, so make sure you belong to the SCCC community before applying. There is no application fee for this recruitment.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: MD/DNB in Anaesthesiology from a recognized institution.
• Experience: At least 1 year as Senior Resident in Anaesthesiology in a recognized Medical College after your postgraduate degree (equivalent experience as a Tutor, Demonstrator, Armed Forces Specialist Medical Officer, or a non-teaching Consultant/Specialist with 2+ years in a 220-bed government hospital is also accepted, as detailed in the notification).
• Registration: You must have Permanent Registration under the Kerala State Medical Council (TCMC) or the Council for Modern Medicine.
• Community: Only candidates belonging to the SCCC community of Kerala can apply for this post.

Age Limit

• You should be between 22 and 50 years old — only candidates born between 2 January 1976 and 1 January 2004 (both dates included) are eligible.
• This age range already includes the applicable relaxation under the general conditions.

Salary

• The selected candidate will get a salary as per UGC norms for the post of Assistant Professor.
• You will also get DA, HRA and other allowances as per Kerala Government rules.

Selection Process

The selection will be done as follows:

2. Rank List: A rank list is prepared based on your qualifications and experience.
