Kerala Public Service Commission (Kerala PSC) Architectural Assistant Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

The Kerala Public Service Commission (Kerala PSC) has released notification Category No. 077/2026 for 1 Architectural Assistant post in the Public Works Department, Architectural Wing. This is a departmental quota post — it is open only to candidates who already possess the required architecture qualifications and have rendered not less than two years of service in any of the categories under the Kerala Architectural Subordinate Service, as defined under Rule 2(13) of Part I of the Kerala State and Subordinate Service Rules, 1958. The ranked list published against this notification will remain in force for a minimum of one year and up to a maximum of three years.

Who Can Apply?

You are eligible for this post if you meet all of the following requirements:

• Qualification: A Bachelor's Degree in Architecture from a recognized University, OR Associate Membership of the Indian Institute of Architects (AIIA), Bombay
• Registration: A valid, current Certificate of Registration with the Council of Architecture, New Delhi (set up under the Architects Act, 1972)
• Service: Not less than 2 years of service in any of the categories under the Kerala Architectural Subordinate Service

Degrees or diplomas awarded by UGC-approved universities, or by institutions established through an Act of Parliament or a State Legislative Assembly, are also acceptable for this post, as per Government Order (M.S.) No. 526/PD dated 17 July 1965. You must produce a Service Certificate (in original) from your Head of Office/Department, in the prescribed format given in the notification, to prove your length of service. You must also complete the One Time Registration (OTR) on the Kerala PSC website before applying. Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II of the Kerala State and Subordinate Service Rules also applies to this post — qualifications recognized as equivalent by Government executive or standing orders are accepted, and proof must be produced when the Commission asks for it.

Age Limit

• You must have completed 18 years of age as on 1 January 2026.
• Upper age limit is not applicable for this selection.

Salary

• The pay scale for this post is Rs. 55,200 to Rs. 1,15,300 per month.
• You will also get DA and other allowances as per Kerala government rules.

Selection Process

Selection for this post is done by the Kerala PSC based on the notification:

1. Written / OMR / Online Test (if conducted): If a test is held as part of this selection, you must submit a confirmation through your OTR profile to generate your admission ticket, available in the last 15 days before the test date.
2. Document Verification: You must produce original documents proving your qualification, registration, service, age and community when the Commission calls for them.

A ranked list of selected candidates will be published and stays valid for a minimum of one year, up to a maximum of three years. Selected candidates will be on probation for two years within a continuous period of three years from the date they join duty.

If you receive a profile message at any stage of the selection asking you to upload documents to prove your qualifications or other claims, you must do so within the given time — otherwise you will not be considered for the next stage. If your caste or community claimed in the application differs from your SSLC book, you must produce a Gazette Notification along with a Non-Creamy Layer or Community Certificate at document verification. The Commission can also take disciplinary action under Rule 22 of the Kerala Public Service Commission Rules of Procedure against candidates who submit bogus claims about their qualifications or experience, including disqualification or debarment from applying to the Commission.
