Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has released Advertisement No. 03/2026 for 194 posts of Veterinary Pharmacist and Assistant Compiler under Divisional/District Cadre. The last date to apply has been extended to 29 May 2026. Candidates holding a domicile certificate of Jammu & Kashmir can apply online at jkssb.nic.in.

JKSSB invites applications for the following posts:

  • Veterinary Pharmacist – Agriculture Production Department
  • Assistant Compiler – Finance Department (J&K Funds Organisation)

Total: 194 vacancies

Eligibility Criteria

  • Veterinary Pharmacist: B.Sc. degree from a recognised university with Zoology as one of the subjects; valid J&K domicile certificate.
  • Assistant Compiler: Passed 10+2 from a recognised Board of School Education; valid J&K domicile certificate.

जिम्मेदारियाँ

  • Handle daily pharmaceutical and veterinary medical supplies at the assigned Animal Husbandry centre or district hospital
  • Assist veterinary officers in administering medicines, vaccines, and treatments to livestock and animals
  • Keep accurate records of medicines received, dispensed, and remaining stock in the pharmacy register
  • Prepare and compile statistical data, financial records, and departmental reports as assigned by supervising officers
  • Follow all government rules and standard operating procedures related to drug storage, handling, and distribution
  • Monitor expiry dates and storage conditions of veterinary medicines and ensure proper disposal of expired stock
  • Work with field teams during vaccination drives, disease outbreaks, and livestock health camps in rural areas
  • Manage office correspondence, data entry, and file management for the department or fund organisation

Selection will be through a Written Examination (OMR-based Objective Type MCQs) in English, followed by Document Verification. There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. The exam date and syllabus will be announced separately on jkssb.nic.in.
