Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) is hiring a Research Associate-III for its Technical Resource Centre (TRC), part of the Centre for Evidence for Guidelines in Puducherry. The Department of Health Research (DHR) funds this project at the JIPMER International School of Public Health (JISPH). You will join a project led by Dr. Manikandan Srinivasan of the Epidemiology Division, with work centred on evidence synthesis and the centre's research activities. This is an externally funded project contract that also supports training and workshop activities.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Initial tenure: The first appointment is for six months. An extension depends on your performance, continuation of the TRC project, available funds and approval from the competent authority.
• Project dependence: Your engagement lasts only within the externally supported project. It does not create a claim to a regular JIPMER position at any point.
• Changes to tenure: The Principal Investigator may extend or shorten the engagement. The initial offer should therefore be understood alongside the project's funding and continuation conditions.
• Joining after selection: You must join within ten days after the results are declared. Consider this short joining window when planning any release from your current work.
• Interview expenses: JIPMER will not pay travel or daily allowance for attending the interview. Any attendance arrangements should take this condition into account.
• Information you provide: Incorrect details or attempts to influence recruitment can lead to disqualification. If the issue is found after engagement, the appointment can also be ended.
• Recruitment decisions: The Interview Committee's decision is final. The notice also gives the Principal Investigator discretion over the engagement within the project terms.
