Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) is recruiting project staff for its Department of Medical Oncology in Puducherry. The Centre for Advanced Research (CAR) project, supported by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), studies unmet needs in blood cancers, with a focus on high-risk and relapsed or refractory acute lymphoblastic leukaemia. • Project Technical Support III, MSW/Research Assistant: This role brings social work and related disciplines into the oncology research setting. Its focus is patient and caregiver support, community participation and research coordination.
• Project Technical Support III, Dietician: This role focuses on nutritional support for people with leukaemia and those undergoing bone marrow transplantation. It combines dietary work with study data collection.

Post-wise Duties

MSW/Research Assistant

You will help patients and caregivers understand study participation, support the consent process and assist with community outreach. You will also help organise training, keep project files in order and support checks of clinical activities and study data. The role includes helping with audits and monitoring reports so the team can track its work.

Dietician

You will assess dietary needs, counsel patients and prepare diet plans for leukaemia and bone marrow transplant care. You will also handle dietary calculations and enter study information into case report forms and REDCap. Community outreach and coordination form part of the role alongside nutrition work.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Initial engagement: The first appointment lasts six months. The project has a five-year duration and is currently in its second year; your extension depends on performance.
• Funding and continuation: Your engagement depends on external project support. The investigator can extend or shorten it, so the overall project duration is not a guaranteed appointment period.
• Project appointment: This contract does not give you a claim to a regular JIPMER post. The investigator's decision on the engagement is final.
• Interview arrangements: The investigator may use an in-person meeting or videoconferencing. For a remote meeting, you must arrange a suitable device with working audio, a camera and a reliable internet connection.
• Travel: JIPMER will not reimburse travel or daily expenses for attending the interview. Plan your travel with this condition in mind.
• Accuracy: False information or attempts to influence recruitment can lead to rejection. If discovered after appointment, they can also end your engagement.
