IPRCL Manager (Admin and Secretary to MD) Recruitment 2026: Overview

Indian Port Rail & Ropeway Corporation Limited (IPRCL) is looking for a retired officer to work as Manager (Admin. & Secretary to MD) at its corporate office in Mumbai. IPRCL is a joint venture of 11 Major Ports and Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) under the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, and it builds rail links that move cargo in and out of India's major ports.

This is a re-employment post on an annual contract, released under Vacancy Circular RE-30/2026. IPRCL put out a batch of re-employment circulars on the same day for project, traffic, signalling and electrical roles, and this is the only office-administration post in that batch. You will run the office of the Managing Director, so a strong secretarial and coordination background matters more here than engineering skills.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Retired officers only: The post is open only to officers who have retired on superannuation or taken voluntary retirement from the Railways, other government departments, central PSUs, ports or government-controlled joint venture companies, with service experience in executing infrastructure projects.
• Retirement grade: You must have retired at the grade the circular sets for your pay system (CDA or IDA). Higher grade pay or pay scales given under ACP, MACP or NFU by your parent department are not counted.
• Office skills: The circular asks for proficiency in MS-Office along with hands-on experience of secretarial and administrative work.
• Contract term: The engagement runs on a yearly contract and can be extended based on your performance and the company's needs.
• Shortlisting: If 5 or more qualified applicants apply for the vacancy, IPRCL may shortlist in a 1:5 ratio based on relevant experience before calling people for interview.
• Service rules: Your appointment will follow the IPRCL Service and Conduct, Discipline and Appeal Rules as amended from time to time.
• Changes to the circular: IPRCL can change the number of posts or cancel the circular at any stage. Any update is posted only on the IPRCL website, so check it regularly.
• Jurisdiction and conduct: Disputes fall only under the courts in Mumbai, and canvassing in any form leads to disqualification.
