The Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras), through its Office of Industrial Consultancy and Sponsored Research (IC&SR), has released Advt.153/2026 to hire 1 Patent Agent for its Intellectual Property Management Cell. This is one of several Patent Agent openings IIT Madras has announced recently (Advt.150 to Advt.154/2026) to strengthen its patent filing and IP documentation support for researchers. The IC&SR office manages patents, licensing, and industry collaboration for the institute's research output, and regularly hires Patent Agents as its patent portfolio grows. Freshers with a valid Patent Agent registration can also apply, since the post accepts candidates with 0 to 5 years of relevant experience.

Who Can Apply?

• Registration: You must be a Registered Indian Patent Agent with the Indian Patent Office.
