IIT Kanpur has released Advertisement No. P.Rect./R&D/2026/146 for 2 Project Associate posts to work with its Office of Outreach Activities. This office runs academic, training, executive education, internship, outreach and professional development programs for the institute, and works closely with faculty members, other educational institutions, government agencies and industry partners to deliver these programs successfully. The appointment is purely contractual, initially for one year, and may be extended based on your performance and the requirements of the office. Candidates who have coordinated similar programs at institutions like IITs, NITs or IIMs are especially encouraged to apply.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: MCA or M.Sc degree
• Desirable Experience: Managing academic, training, executive education, internship, outreach, or professional development programs at higher education institutions like IITs, NITs or IIMs
• Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Workspace, online learning management systems, and virtual meeting platforms
• Portal Familiarity: Comfortable handling various official portals of the institute and government ministries
• Documentation: Able to prepare reports, detailed proposals, official correspondence, and other administrative documents
• Communication: Strong communication skills in both Hindi and English, with good problem-solving ability
• Other: You should be able to work independently, with a collaborative team spirit, and coordinate with faculty, educational institutions, government agencies, industry partners and program participants

Salary

• Selected candidates will get a salary in the range of Rs. 21,600 to Rs. 54,000 per month (Pay Scale: 21600-1800-54000).

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

The selection will be done in the following stages:

1. Shortlisting: A committee will screen applications based on your qualification and experience, and reserves the right to fix suitable shortlisting criteria. Only shortlisted candidates will be informed by email.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed; the exact mode (online/offline) will be shared after screening.

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
