IISER Tirupati Project Assistant Recruitment 2026: Overview

Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Tirupati (IISER Tirupati) is hiring a Project Assistant for a contract research position with Dr. Rana Saha. The ANRF-funded project studies how strain can stabilize chiral skyrmions in 2D van der Waals magnets for spintronic applications. Its research focus is experimental condensed matter physics, particularly spintronic materials, at the institute in Tirupati.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Initial tenure: Your first appointment will be for four months. Renewal depends on satisfactory performance, and the role remains linked to the project.
• Project closure: The appointment ends automatically when the research project ends, without notice or compensation. The position does not create a claim to absorption at IISER Tirupati or the funding agency.
• Appointment terms: The funding agency rules that apply to this project will govern your appointment. Read those terms carefully when considering an offer.
• Joining: If selected, you must be ready to join immediately after receiving the offer. The institute may also change the number of positions according to its needs.
• Interview travel: The institute will not pay travel or daily allowance for attending the interview. You will need to meet those expenses yourself.
• Conduct: Attempts to influence the recruitment can disqualify you. Incorrect information may result in cancellation of candidature or termination after appointment.
• Further study: Selected candidates may apply separately for the regular PhD programme at IISER Tirupati if they meet its admission requirements.
