GNLU Senior Clerk Recruitment 2026: Overview

Gujarat National Law University (GNLU) is hiring a Senior Clerk for the GNLU Legal Incubation Council (GLIC), the Section 8 company the university runs to incubate law-and-technology start-ups from its Gandhinagar campus. Service Conditions and Caveats

• Place of work: The selected candidate works at the GNLU Gandhinagar campus at Attalika Avenue, Knowledge Corridor, Koba.
• Tenure: The engagement is contractual for 364 days to begin with. It can be extended up to a further three years on an annual performance review, if the competent authority recommends it and the Executive Council approves.
• No conversion: The contract gives no right to renewal, extension or conversion into a permanent post and simply ends on the date written in the contract letter.
• Notice period: Either side can end the contract with one month's notice or one month's pay. The university can also end it without notice or compensation if the work is found unsatisfactory or the rules are broken.
• Leave: You earn one day of casual leave for each completed month of duty, and no other leave during the contract.
• Proper channel: If you already work in a government, semi-government, PSU or educational institution, your application must come through proper channel, and you must produce a No Objection Certificate in the prescribed format at the selection stage.
• No TA/DA: The university pays nothing towards travel for the selection process, and a shortlisted candidate who cannot attend on the fixed date is not given a second slot.
• Antecedents: GNLU verifies documents at any point during or after appointment, and a false or suppressed detail ends the application or the service.
• Right not to fill: The university can decide not to fill the post at all, and its decision on anything connected with the advertisement is final.
• Where changes appear: Any correction or addition to this advertisement is published only on the university website.
