ESIC is hiring 77 Teaching Faculty and Senior Resident doctors on a contract basis at ESIC Medical College & Hospital, Indore (M.P.). The Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) has released Rolling Advertisement No. 06 of 2026 to fill 77 posts of Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor and Senior Resident across more than 20 clinical departments at its Medical College & Hospital in Indore. Retired and working professors can also apply, and any candidate can be appointed against an unfilled reserved-category post for 44 days with a possible extension. Since this is a rolling advertisement, ESIC holds a fresh walk-in interview on the 18th of every month, so you can still apply for an upcoming cycle even if you miss this one.

Vacancy Breakdown by Post

• Associate Professor: 26 posts (Pay Level 12)
• Professor: 18 posts (Pay Level 13)
• Senior Resident: 17 posts (Pay Level 11)
• Assistant Professor: 16 posts (Pay Level 11)

These posts are spread across Medicine, Surgery, Orthopaedics, Anaesthesiology, Radiology, Paediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Dermatology, Psychiatry, Cardiology, Nephrology, Gastroenterology, Neurology and Urology, among other departments. Reservation for SC, ST, OBC, EWS and PwBD candidates applies as per Government of India norms.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You need an MBBS degree along with an MD/MS/DNB or an equivalent postgraduate qualification, as recognised under National Medical Commission (NMC, erstwhile MCI) guidelines.
• Registration: You must hold a valid, updated State or NMC Medical Registration Certificate.
• Eligibility date: Your qualifying degree and experience are checked as on the 15th of the recruitment month.
• Retired and currently working professors can also apply for eligible posts.

Age Limit

• For Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor posts, you should be not more than 69 years old as on the 15th of the recruitment month.
• For Senior Resident posts, you should be not more than 45 years old as on the same date, with age relaxation as per prevailing Government of India norms.
• Your teaching engagement can continue until you turn 70 years of age, whichever is earlier.

Salary

• Professor: Fixed basic pay of Rs. 1,23,100 per month (Pay Level 13).
• Associate Professor: Fixed basic pay of Rs. 78,800 per month (Pay Level 12).
• Assistant Professor and Senior Resident: Fixed basic pay of Rs. 67,700 per month (Pay Level 11).
• You will also get NPA at 20% (where applicable), DA at 60%, HRA at 20% and TA of Rs. 7,200 + DA on top of the basic pay.

Application Fee

• SC / ST / ESIC Regular Employees / Defence Ex-Servicemen / PwD (Divyangjan): No fee
• All other categories: Rs. 500, payable by Demand Draft in favour of 'ESI Fund A/c No.-1' payable at Indore

The fee, once paid, is not refunded under any circumstances.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

ESIC selects candidates in 2 stages:

1. Document Verification: Your certificates are checked against the originals before the interview.
2. Interview: A Selection Board evaluates your academic credentials and interview performance to prepare the final merit list.

Results are published in the Recruitments section of esic.gov.in, and offer letters are sent only by email.

2. Attach scanned copies of your certificates, experience letters and passport photo.
3. Email the completed form and Demand Draft details to dean-indore.mp@esic.gov.in by 4:00 PM on the 15th of the recruitment month. Mention your name, post and department in the subject line.
4. Send the original application, self-attested documents and Demand Draft by post to The Dean, ESIC Medical College & Hospital, Nanda Nagar, Indore (M.P.) – 452011 before the 17th of the same month.
5. Report for the walk-in interview at the same address on the 18th, from 11:00 AM onwards, with all original documents.

• Teach and mentor MBBS and postgraduate medical students during classes, ward rounds and clinical postings
• Examine, diagnose and treat patients in the outpatient department (OPD) and wards
• Assist in surgeries, procedures and emergency care as per your department
• Maintain accurate patient records, case sheets and treatment charts
• Guide junior doctors, interns and nursing staff during rounds and duty hours
• Participate in academic activities like seminars, case discussions and research work
• Follow hospital protocols, infection control guidelines and NMC teaching norms
• Take Sunday/holiday duty as per the rotation schedule
