Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Limited (DMRC), a joint venture of the Government of India and the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi, needs experienced Supervisor P. Way professionals for track work connected with metro projects and operations. This is a post-retirement contractual engagement aimed at people working in or retired from the Indian Railways Permanent Way department. The role is built around practical railway track-maintenance experience, so DMRC is looking for supervisors who can move quickly into live project and operational responsibilities.

DMRC runs the Delhi-NCR mass-transit network and also supports metro projects through consultancy work in India and overseas. You may therefore work with operating assets, construction teams or allied project offices rather than at one fixed Delhi desk. The engagement is suitable for a retired or retiring railway supervisor who understands field coordination, safety-sensitive maintenance, record keeping and work in a computerised environment.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Contract tenure: The engagement starts for one year and may be extended when DMRC needs the role, provided both sides agree and your performance remains satisfactory.
• Substantive grade: Eligibility is based on your regular functional grade in Indian Railways. MACP or similar personal financial upgradations are not treated as the substantive grade for this recruitment.
• Serving employees: A candidate still in regular Railway service can be considered only if willing to retire through VRS or another permitted route before joining DMRC.
• Service record: You must be clear from the Discipline and Appeal Rules and vigilance angles. Working candidates need the prescribed clearance through their cadre-controlling authority.
• Posting liability: Selected supervisors can be posted or transferred to any DMRC office or project site in India or abroad. The post is not limited to Delhi despite the Delhi-office salary table in the advertisement.
• Medical fitness: Appointment depends on meeting the specified railway-style medical category. DMRC does not offer an alternative post if a selected candidate fails the required medical examination.
