CURAJ Project Associate-I Recruitment 2026: Overview
Central University of Rajasthan (CURAJ) is recruiting a Project Associate-I in its Department of Atmospheric Science, School of Earth Sciences. The temporary research appointment supports a project on the regional characteristics of atmospheric aerosols at selected locations in India, led by Dr. Chinmay Mallik. Funding comes through the Indian Space Research Organization's Geosphere Biosphere Programme, under its Aerosol Radiative Forcing over India (ISRO-GBP: ARFI) initiative.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Project tenure: The assignment runs up to 31 March 2027. An extension may be possible, but it depends on your performance and funds being available in the project; it is not promised when you join.
- University accommodation: Bachelor accommodation may be offered on campus. This depends on availability, so you should not treat housing as a confirmed part of the appointment.
- PhD possibility: After selection, you may be considered for the university's PhD programme in a later admission cycle. You still need to satisfy the university's admission rules, and a seat must be available; taking up the project position does not itself confirm PhD admission.
- Nature of engagement: The notice offers a temporary position for the named research project. The possible extension and the separate PhD consideration are conditional arrangements, rather than commitments to a longer appointment or a research degree place.
Application Submission Notes
Send your application to the Principal Investigator at chinmay.mallik@curaj.ac.in, using the subject Application for Project Associate Position. The notice asks you to combine the application material into a single PDF file, so the email packet stays together.
The Google Form is also required alongside the email application; the notice names both parts of the submission. Use the linked form for your application details, and keep the email address you provide active because the project team will communicate interview arrangements by email.
