CUH Multi Post PM SVA Nidhi Research Recruitment 2026: Overview

Central University of Haryana (CUH) is building a project team for research on informal livelihoods, gig-economy engagement and economic resilience under PM-SVA Nidhi. The work is supported by the Indian Council for Social Science Research (ICSSR) and led from the Department of Commerce.

The project is titled Informal Livelihoods under PM-SVA Nidhi: Gig Economy Engagement and Economic Resilience for Viksit Bharat @2047. Although the university is based in Haryana, you must be ready to stay in the study areas in Himachal Pradesh for data collection during the study.

Posts and Disciplines

• Research Assistant: A project-team appointment linked to the social-science study, with an initial engagement that can be extended under the project's conditions.
• Field Investigator: A project appointment associated with the empirical study and its field-data collection in Himachal Pradesh.
• Casual Research Staff: A daily engagement used when the study needs additional staff, rather than a continuous monthly appointment.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Field stay: Selected project staff must live in the relevant study areas during data collection. Consider this requirement before applying, particularly if you expect a campus-only role.
• Initial engagement: Research Assistant and Field Investigator appointments begin for six months. Extension depends on the project's needs, satisfactory performance and available funds.
• Daily engagement: Casual Research Staff work as needed during the study period. The notice does not promise a fixed number of working days each month.
• Project limits: These appointments are temporary and tied to the sanctioned project and its duration. They do not describe regular university posts.
• Early termination: Misconduct, unsatisfactory research work or a later finding that you do not meet the conditions can end your engagement.
• Applicable rules: CUH and ICSSR rules govern the selected staff. The university may vary the number of positions or cancel the notice at any stage.
• Interview expenses: No travel or daily allowance is paid for attending the interview.
