The Technology Business Incubator (TBI) at CSIR-IIIM, Jammu has released Advertisement No. TBI/BN-01 (2026) to fill 2 project positions — Coordinator and Project Assistant-I — under the Bio-NEST Project of BIRAC (Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council), DBT. Selected candidates will help manage the incubator and support start-ups and entrepreneurship at CSIR-IIIM. Both posts will be filled through a walk-in interview after an initial Google Form screening — there is no written exam. The Bio-NEST scheme is backed by BIRAC (Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council) and the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), and it supports bio-incubators like IIIM-TBI in nurturing start-ups and turning lab research into market-ready products. The positions are purely temporary and contractual, co-terminus with the project, which runs until 29 January 2028, and they do not carry any claim to regularisation at CSIR-IIIM or any other CSIR laboratory.

Who Can Apply?

For Coordinator (BN-01) - Rs. 1,00,000/month (Consolidated):

• Qualification: Ph.D./Master's degree in Science, Engineering, Technology, or Management with at least 55% marks, plus 5 years' experience in entrepreneurship, business development, bio-product development, R&D, industry outreach, start-ups, tech transfer, or industry-academia collaboration.
• Desirable: Experience managing start-ups, technology commercialisation, and industry-academia partnerships; demonstrated leadership in entrepreneurship and business development; strong communication and networking skills with government agencies, investors, and academia.

For Project Assistant-I (BN-02) - Rs. 20,000/month (Consolidated):

• Qualification: Graduate in Commerce with at least 55% marks.
• Desirable: 1 year of proven experience in finance and accounting, ledger entries, bill payments, cash book maintenance, PFMS, and related financial work.

If your final certificates show CGPA/SGPA/OGPA grades, convert them into an equivalent percentage using your university's approved formula, and attach a copy of the conversion certificate with your application.

Age Limit

• Coordinator (BN-01): Upper age limit is 45 years.
• Project Assistant-I (BN-02): Upper age limit is 30 years.
• Age will be counted as on the last date of Google Form submission, 31 August 2026.

Salary

• Coordinator (BN-01): Rs. 1,00,000 per month (Consolidated).
• Project Assistant-I (BN-02): Rs. 20,000 per month (Consolidated).
• Both are consolidated, project-funded pay packages under the Bio-NEST scheme — no separate DA/HRA is mentioned.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

There is no written exam. Selection happens through screening and a walk-in interview:

1. Google Form Submission: Fill and submit the online Google Form for your post before the deadline.
2. Eligibility Screening: Only eligible candidates are shortlisted for the interview; the list is published on the CSIR-IIIM and IIIM-TBI websites by 3 September 2026.
3. Walk-in Interview: Shortlisted candidates must reach the venue one hour before the scheduled interview time for document verification.
4. Document Verification: Bring all original certificates for date of birth, education, experience, caste, and domicile. Tentative mark sheets or "Result Awaited" certificates will not be accepted.

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the walk-in interview. If any discrepancy is found in your documents after selection, your candidature will be cancelled.

Only candidates who strictly meet the eligibility criteria and hold the required degrees/mark sheets should apply and appear for the interview. Tentative mark sheets or certificates marked "Result Awaited" will not be considered at the document verification stage.
