CIHTS Faculty Recruitment 2026: Overview

Central Institute of Higher Tibetan Studies (CIHTS) is recruiting teaching, research and physical-education staff for its Sarnath campus in Varanasi. Post-wise Duties

Professor and BRA Research Professor

You will lead advanced teaching and research, guide scholars and help shape the academic direction of your department. Senior faculty are also expected to support curriculum planning and institutional academic work.

Associate Professor

You will teach postgraduate courses, supervise research and contribute to departmental programmes and publications. Your role bridges classroom teaching with sustained work in the relevant textual or disciplinary tradition.

Assistant Professor

You will handle regular teaching, student guidance and departmental academic tasks in your advertised subject and medium. You may also assist with seminars, assessment and research activities.

Assistant Director of Physical Education and Sports

You will coordinate sports, fitness and student participation while supporting the institute's physical-education programme and related events.
