Bodoland University (BU), Kokrajhar has released a walk-in interview notice for empanelment of full-time guest faculty for the 2026-27 academic session. The university needs guest faculty across 17 subjects, spread over two interview groups, ranging from Assamese and Bodo to Computer Science & Technology and Zoology. Guest faculty appointed under this notice will primarily support undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in their respective departments for the academic session. Bodoland University was established under the Bodoland University Act, 2009, passed by the Assam Legislative Assembly, and is an upgrade of the Kokrajhar campus of Gauhati University into a full-fledged state university. It serves the higher-education needs of the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) and offers undergraduate, postgraduate and research programmes across science, social science, commerce and humanities streams. Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You need a Master's degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale, wherever a grading system is followed) in the relevant or allied subject from a recognized Indian university, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
• Eligibility Test: You must have cleared NET conducted by the UGC or CSIR, or an equivalent UGC-accredited test like SLET/SET. Candidates awarded a Ph.D. as per UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016, are exempted from NET/SLET/SET.

Salary

• Selected guest faculty will get a fixed remuneration of Rs. 20,000 per month for full-time stay on campus and teaching.
• The remuneration is fixed regardless of the subject you are selected for, and is provided for full-time residential teaching duty during the session.
• No T.A./D.A. will be paid for attending the interview.

Selection Process (Walk-in Interview)

There is no written exam for this recruitment. Selection is done directly through a walk-in interview:
