ANGRAU Research Associate Cotton and Pulses Recruitment 2026: Overview

Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University (ANGRAU) is engaging Research Associates at the Regional Agricultural Research Station, Lam, Guntur. The work belongs to the Cotton and Pulses Scheme (Non Plan) and is offered on a temporary contractual basis.

Post-wise Duties

Research Associate Cotton

You will work with cotton field experiments and segregating populations, linking observations from the field with laboratory results. The work includes collecting samples for enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) and running ELISA and polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests for DNA fingerprinting.

The cotton assignment also includes recording and analysing data. You will record observations in both settings and use different software to analyse the results, so the notice describes a role spanning experimental work and its data.

Research Associate Pulses

You will provide technical support for the Pulses programme and help implement its technical work. Breeder seed production under the MULLaRP Scheme is a specific part of this assignment.

Service Conditions and Caveats

Ph.D. in Genetics and Plant Breeding, or a Master's degree in that subject with a 4/5-year Bachelor's degree, first division or equivalent OGPA, at least 3 years of relevant teaching/research experience and one paper in an SCI/NAAS-rated journal above 4.0. Basic Sciences applicants with a 3-year Bachelor's degree and 2-year Master's degree need NET. Relevant degrees must be from ICAR-accredited universities/colleges.
