All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Patna (AIIMS Patna) has released a vacancy notice for 9 Group 'B' and 'C' posts to be filled purely on deputation basis. The posts cover library services, medical gas management, laundry operations, and plumbing maintenance at the institute in Phulwarisharif, Patna. The deputation period is 3 years, extendable up to 5 years as per DoPT guidelines. Who Can Apply?

Librarian Grade-I (Documentalist) - Level-7:

• Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Library Science or Library and Information Science from a recognized university/institute, OR B.Sc. plus a Bachelor's degree/PG Diploma in Library Science
• Experience: 5 years' experience in a library of repute, with hands-on computer skills in spreadsheets and presentations
• Desirable: Diploma in Computer Applications
• Deputation Eligibility: Holding an analogous post on regular basis, or 3 years' regular service in the grade pay of Rs. 4,200 in the relevant field

Manager/Supervisor/Gas Officer - Level-7:

• Qualification: Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5 years' experience with manifold systems in a medical setup, OR Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 7 years' similar experience
• Skills: Ability to manage medical gas distribution lines, taps, cocks, and outlets
• Deputation Eligibility: Holding an analogous post, or 11 years' relevant experience in the grade pay of Rs. 2,800

Laundry Manager - Level-6:

• Qualification: 12th pass plus a Diploma/Certificate in Dry Cleaning or Laundry Technology from a recognized institute
• Experience: 12 years' experience in a reputed mechanized laundry
• Deputation Eligibility: Holding an analogous post, or 10 years' regular service in the grade pay of Rs. 2,400 (at a minimum 200-bedded hospital)

Manifold Technician (Gas Steward) - Level-5:

• Qualification: 10+2 in Science with 7 years' experience in a medical gas pipeline system at a minimum 200-bedded government hospital, OR Trade Certificate/ITI Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 5 years' similar experience
• Deputation Eligibility: Holding an analogous post, or 5 years' relevant experience in the grade pay of Rs. 2,400

Senior Plumber - Level-4:

• Deputation Eligibility: Holding an analogous post, or 8 years' regular service as a plumber in the grade pay of Rs. 1,900

Age Limit

• The maximum age limit for applying to any of these deputation posts is 56 years, counted as on the last date for receipt of application (19 September 2026).

Salary

• Senior Plumber: Rs. 25,500 to Rs. 81,100 per month (Level-4)
• Manifold Technician (Gas Steward): Rs. 29,200 to Rs. 92,300 per month (Level-5)
• Laundry Manager: Rs. 35,400 to Rs. 1,12,400 per month (Level-6)
• Librarian Grade-I / Manager/Supervisor/Gas Officer: Rs. 44,900 to Rs. 1,42,400 per month (Level-7)
• You will also get DA, HRA, TA and other allowances as per Central Government rules.

Selection Process

The selection for these deputation posts will follow these steps:
