AIIMS New Delhi, in partnership with IIT Delhi, is hiring 5 professionals for its ICMR-funded Neuro-Engineering Project — 3 Project Scientist-I posts and 2 Project Technical Support-III posts. AIIMS New Delhi & IIT Delhi Neuro-Engineering Project Recruitment 2026 - 5 Posts

The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi and the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT-D) have invited applications for contractual posts under their ICMR-funded AIIMS + IIT-D Neuro-Engineering Project (Grant Nos. I-1970 and I-1808). The project covers cutting-edge work in neurosurgical instrumentation, AI/machine learning for medical devices, and neuroscience research. There is no written exam — candidates are shortlisted from their CVs and called for an interview. This is a strong opportunity for engineers, AI specialists and biomedical researchers to work on a joint AIIMS-IIT Delhi research project.

Who Can Apply?

Project Scientist-I - Neurosurgical Instrumentation (Rs. 56,000 + 30% HRA):

• Qualification: PhD in Biomedical/Electronics/Mechanical, or a First-Class M-Tech in Biomedical/Electronics/Mechanical with 2 years of experience.
• Experience: Neurosurgical Instrumentation, Robotics, Finite Element Analysis, Computer Aided Design, Precision Machining, 3D Printing, 3D Scanning and Reverse Engineering.
• Desired Skills: Patents and research publications in peer-reviewed journals.

Project Scientist-I - AI/Machine Learning (Rs. 56,000 + 30% HRA):

• Qualification: PhD in AI/Computer Science/Electronics/Instrumentation/Biomedical, or M.Tech with 2 years of experience.
• Experience: Deep Learning, Machine Learning, Biomedical Signal Processing, Data Analysis, Computer Vision, Neural Networks, and integrating AI/ML algorithms with medical-device applications.
• Desired Skills: Building and deploying AI models, Deep Learning, Neural Networks, Data Analysis, Biomedical Signal Processing, Image Processing, CT-MRI.

Project Scientist-I - Neuroscience (Rs. 56,000 + 30% HRA):

• Qualification: PhD in AI/Computer Science/Electronics/Instrumentation/Biomedical, or M.Tech/M.Sc in Neuroscience, Biomedical Sciences or a related life science, with 2 years of experience.
• Experience: Neurosurgical Simulation, Artificial Intelligence, Neurophysiology, Neural Interface & Electrodes, Image Segmentation and 3D Printing.
• Desired Skills: Strong understanding of neuroscience and neuroanatomy, with hands-on experience in IONM and Neuro-navigation Systems.

Project Technical Support-III (Rs. 28,000 + 30% HRA):

• Qualification: B-Tech in Mechanical/Electronics/Biomedical with 3 years of experience, or M-Tech in Mechanical/Electronics/Biomedical.
• Experience: Medical Electronics, Sensor Integration, Microcontrollers, Data Acquisition Systems, Analog and Digital Electronics, Signal Conditioning, Electronic Circuit Design, Hardware-Software Integration, and development/testing of medical devices and electronic prototypes.

Age Limit

• The age limit for all posts is 35 years.

Salary

• Project Scientist-I posts get Rs. 56,000 per month + 30% HRA.
• Project Technical Support-III posts get Rs. 28,000 per month + 30% HRA.

Selection Process

The selection will be done in 2 stages:

1. CV Screening: Submit your CV (not more than 3 pages) — only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. No TA/DA will be given for the interview.
