AIIMS Bhopal Project Staff Recruitment 2026 - 2 Posts

AIIMS Bhopal issued Advertisement No. AIIMS/BPL/FMT/26/517/e-office/52673 dated 10 June 2026 for contractual staff under an ICMR-funded project. The project title is Advancing Post Mortem Interval: A Multidisciplinary Forensic Study on Proteomic and Metabolomic Biomarkers with Predictive Modelling. The project is sanctioned to Dr. Niranjan Sahoo, Associate Professor, Department of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology, AIIMS Bhopal.

This recruitment is for a research project role, not a permanent AIIMS post. The initial appointment is for 6 months and can be extended up to 2.5 years depending on fund availability and project needs. The interview or exam is scheduled for 29 June 2026 at AIIMS Bhopal.

Who Can Apply?

Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical)

• Qualification: You need a Post Graduate Degree, including integrated PG degree, in Biochemistry or Forensic Sciences.
• Desirable Experience: Hands-on work in western blotting, ELISA, biological sample handling, GCMS and sample extraction is desirable.

Project Technical Support-II

• Route 1: You can apply with 12th in Science plus Diploma in MLT, DMLT, Engineering or equivalent, and 5 years experience in the relevant subject or field.
• Route 2: You can apply with a 3-year graduate degree in a relevant subject or field and 2 years experience in the relevant subject.

Project fit: The work connects forensic medicine, proteomic and metabolomic biomarkers, biological samples and predictive modelling. Candidates with careful lab practice, research documentation habits and relevant experience will match the project better.

Age Limit

• Project Research Scientist-I: Below 35 years as on the last date of application.
• Project Technical Support-II: Below 30 years as on the last date of application.

Salary

• Project Research Scientist-I: Rs. 56,000 + 20% HRA, which comes to Rs. 67,200 per month.
• Project Technical Support-II: Rs. 20,000 + 20% HRA, which comes to Rs. 24,000 per month.
• The appointment is for 6 months, extendable up to 2.5 years subject to fund availability.

Selection Process

Selection will be through interview. If more than 20 candidates report for the interview, AIIMS Bhopal will conduct a written test on the same day and shortlist candidates for interview based on the written test result.

1. Application Screening: Applications submitted through Google Form and email will be checked.
2. Written Test if Needed: If more than 20 candidates report, there will be 20 multiple-choice questions for 20 marks.
3. Qualifying Marks: SC/ST candidates need 40%; UR/OBC/EWS candidates need 50%.
4. Interview: Top 5 candidates in the written test will be considered for interview.
5. Final Merit: If a written test is held, final merit will be based on written test and interview marks. If no written test is held, merit will be based on interview marks.
6. Document Verification: Original documents must be produced when asked.

Incomplete applications, applications without the prescribed format, applications without the Google Form, or applications received after the due date will not be considered. There is no online interview option, so shortlisted candidates must appear personally at the venue.
