SBI Clerk Recruitment

SBI Clerk — officially Junior Associate (Customer Support and Sales) — is the clerical-cadre recruitment of the State Bank of India, typically announced once a year with circle-wise (state/region) vacancies. It is one of the most sought-after banking exams in India.

Selection has two online stages. The Preliminary exam is a one-hour composite test covering English Language, Numerical Ability and Reasoning Ability. Qualified candidates appear for the Main exam, covering General/Financial Awareness, General English, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability and Computer Aptitude. Wrong answers carry negative marking and there is no interview — final selection follows the Main exam merit list, subject to a test of the specified opted local language for candidates who have not studied it earlier.

Eligibility is a graduate degree in any discipline from a recognised university, with the age band and category relaxations laid out in each year's notification. Candidates apply for one circle and should be proficient in the local language of that circle.
