The Office of Women and Child Development, Janjgir-Champa (WCD) is recruiting a Child Helpline Supervisor for its district unit in Chhattisgarh. This contractual appointment supports Child Helpline 1098 under Mission Vatsalya, following the scheme's standard operating procedure. The District Collector is the appointing authority for the district helpline unit.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Local residence: You must be a local resident of Chhattisgarh. The recruitment accepts residence certification issued by the competent authority.
• Reservation: The advertised position is reserved for the Scheduled Tribe category. State reservation rules apply to this contractual recruitment.
• Initial tenure: Your first appointment can last up to three years or until the Government of India stops operating the scheme, whichever comes first. The post remains tied to the scheme's continuation.
• Extension: The competent authority may extend the contract for up to three years at a time if work remains available. This depends on your annual performance review and the controlling officer's recommendation.
• End of service: If the contract is not extended, service ends automatically. Either side can end the arrangement with one month's notice or one month's salary instead. The notice also allows termination without giving reasons in special circumstances.
• Conduct: Staff appointed under the scheme must follow the Chhattisgarh Civil Services Conduct Rules, 1965. Appointment can be cancelled if the required conditions are later found unmet.
• Personal conditions: Marriage before the legally prescribed minimum age bars appointment. The notice also restricts marriage to a person with a living spouse, subject to a government-approved exemption.
• Travel: You must meet your own travel costs for the interview and skill test. No travel allowance is payable.
• Panel validity: The selection and waiting lists remain valid for one year from publication of the selection list. The waiting list keeps three candidates or a quarter of the advertised posts, whichever is greater.
