HAL Visiting Doctor Recruitment 2026: Overview

Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), the Maharatna defence aerospace company under the Ministry of Defence, is engaging Visiting Doctors on a part-time basis for the Industrial Health Centre of its Avionics Division in Hyderabad. The Avionics Division is one of HAL's many production and overhaul units, and its health centre looks after the employees who work there and their families.

This is not a full-time job. You come in on the days HAL fixes, see patients for a set number of hours, and get paid for each visit rather than a monthly salary. That makes it a good fit if you already run a clinic or hold another post and want a steady second engagement with a well-known public sector company.

An MBBS doctor with at least one year of work after the degree can apply. HAL shortlists on the basis of more relevant experience and marks, and only shortlisted doctors are called for a personal interview.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Engagement period: The first engagement runs for two years. HAL may extend it under company policy if your performance and the division's needs justify it, and the per-visit rate goes up by 10% on extension.
• Purely temporary: The engagement does not make you a regular HAL employee, and you cannot claim the benefits or facilities that regular staff get.
• Pay is all-inclusive: Apart from the per-visit fee and a fixed conveyance charge per visit, no other allowance is paid. Income tax and other taxes are deducted from your payments.
• Emergency calls: Besides your scheduled visits to the Company Hospital, HAL can call you in during an emergency.
• Notice period: Either side can end the engagement with one month's written notice; it also ends automatically when the tenure is over.
• Confidentiality: You must protect official information and follow HAL's rules for part-time engagements.
• Registration: Your MBBS must be recognised by the Medical Council of India or a State Medical Council, and you need a valid, current registration certificate.
• Persons with disabilities: HAL lists low vision, hard of hearing, one arm, one leg, both legs, cerebral palsy, leprosy cured, dwarfism, acid attack victims, spinal deformity or injury, specific learning disability and multiple disabilities as suitable for this post.
• Reserve panel: HAL may fill future part-time engagements from the valid panel of selected candidates, so a place on the panel can still lead to an offer later.
