CSIR-Central Food Technological Research Institute (CSIR-CFTRI), Mysuru — a constituent national laboratory of the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) — has released Advertisement No. PAT43/2026 for 1 Senior Project Associate-I post under the project "Bioresource Conservation and Prospection" (Project No. MMP025302). The engagement is initially till 31 March 2027 and may be extended up to 30 March 2028 based on project requirement. Candidates with hands-on experience in HPLC and LCMS techniques and food formulation expertise get preference. Who Can Apply?

Option 1 (M.Sc. Route):

• M.Sc. in Botany or Biochemistry with 3 years' experience in Research and Development in an Industrial or Science & Technology organisation, with hands-on experience on HPLC and LCMS and expertise in food formulation

Option 2 (Doctoral Route):

• Doctoral Degree in Science (Botany or Biochemistry) with 2 years' experience in Research and Development in an Industrial or Science & Technology organisation, specializing in nutritional and metabolite analysis

Desirable: Hands-on experience on HPLC, LCMS and expertise in food formulation with specialization in nutritional and metabolite analysis.

Note: Applicants who have already completed 6 years of total tenure as Project Staff in any CSIR lab or institute are NOT eligible to apply.

Age Limit

• You should not have exceeded 40 years of age as on the last date of receiving applications (31 July 2026).
• Age Relaxation: SC/ST/PwBD/Women candidates get 5 years relaxation; OBC candidates get 3 years relaxation.

Salary

• Selected candidates will get a stipend of Rs. 42,000 per month plus HRA as applicable.

Selection Process

The selection will be done in the following stages:

1. Shortlisting: Based on percentage of marks in the essential qualification, higher educational qualifications, or desirable experience — the list of shortlisted candidates will be posted on the CFTRI website.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be informed about the interview date by email. No TA/DA will be given for attending the interview.
