ACTREC Senior Resident Recruitment 2026: Overview

Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC), part of Tata Memorial Centre (TMC), is recruiting a Senior Resident for its Department of Anaesthesiology, Critical Care and Pain at Kharghar, Navi Mumbai. ACTREC is a grant-in-aid institution under the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India. This is a tenured, non-permanent appointment, with rotation to other TMC centres possible when departments need support.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: The engagement runs until 31 July 2027. You should treat it as a defined residency appointment rather than an open-ended post.
• Posting and rotation: TMC may place you at ACTREC in Kharghar or Tata Memorial Hospital in Mumbai. Depending on departmental needs, rotation can also take you to its centres in Sangrur, Mullanpur, Varanasi, Visakhapatnam, Muzaffarpur or Guwahati.
• PG bond service: ACTREC states that this Senior Residency counts towards the postgraduate bond for doctors covered by the Maharashtra government resolution cited in the notice. This provision concerns graduates of the specified government and municipal medical colleges in Maharashtra.
• Joining deposit: You must provide a security or caution deposit of Rs. 1,33,623. You can pay it when joining, or have it deducted from your salary in five equal instalments. The deposit is returned without interest after you complete the residency.
• Early resignation: You may resign after completing five months if you serve another month as notice, completing six months overall. Under this arrangement, you remain entitled to a deposit refund. Leaving without the required notice means forfeiting your last 30 days of salary.
• Accommodation: Shared accommodation may be offered if space is available. Hostel charges are deducted from your monthly stipend or salary, so accommodation is not promised as a free benefit.
• Travel costs: ACTREC does not reimburse travel or daily expenses for attending the MCQ examination or interview.
• Interview attendance: If shortlisted, you may attend in person or request a link for an online interview. The notice gives you this option without changing the appointment location or rotation conditions.
• Recruitment discretion: TMC may cancel the posts or set benchmarks to limit the number of applicants called. Meeting the stated requirements alone does not guarantee a call.
