WDRA Under Secretary (Technical) Recruitment 2026: Overview

Warehousing Development and Regulatory Authority (WDRA), the statutory regulator set up under the Warehousing (Development and Regulation) Act, 2007, wants one Under Secretary (Technical) for its head office in New Delhi. This is a Group A technical post filled on deputation, with a chance of absorption later, so it is open only to serving officers of Central or State Governments, Central and State PSUs, and autonomous or statutory bodies.

You will work under the Director (Technical) on the core regulatory side of the Authority: registering and inspecting warehouses, putting the 2007 Act into practice and handling the rules and regulations made under it. A degree in a biological science, including agriculture, is a must alongside the service condition, which makes this a good fit for officers from agriculture, food, storage and warehousing backgrounds.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Deputation term: you join on deputation for an initial three years, which the competent authority can extend as per rules.
• Absorption: WDRA can consider absorbing you only after two years on deputation and a satisfactory performance review. Absorption is not a right; it depends on the Authority's needs and its own guidelines.
• Pay rules: pay and other terms follow the DoPT OM No. 6/8/2009-Estt.(Pay II) dated 17 June 2010, as amended from time to time.
• Housing: WDRA has no residential quarters, so you get HRA at the rate admissible to Central Government employees.
• Lock-in after joining: you cannot apply for another deputation job until you complete two years at WDRA, or for a direct recruitment job until you complete one year.
• No withdrawal: once you volunteer for the post, you cannot withdraw your name later.
• False documents: under DoPT OM No. 11012/91-Estt.(A) dated 19 May 1993, anyone appointed on fake or false certificates is removed from service.

Attach attested copies of your APARs/ACRs for the last five years.
