MECON Limited, a Miniratna Schedule "A" public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Steel headquartered at Ranchi, invites applications under Advertisement No. 2026/Cont/04 for the contractual engagement of experienced professionals on a Full Time Fixed Tenure (FTFT) basis for projects being executed across India. Service Conditions and Caveats

• Cut-off date: Qualification, post-qualification experience and age are reckoned as on 25 September 2026.
• Experience rules: Only full-time employment on a regular salary in the stipulated area counts. Freelance, entrepreneurial, articleship, internship, academic project, teaching and research experience are not counted; apprenticeship under the Apprenticeship Act and on-the-job training as a Management/Executive/Graduate Trainee in a PSU may be counted.
• Qualification mode: The requisite qualification must come from a regular full-time course at a recognised institution; certificate courses may be part-time.
• Documentary proof: Experience certificates must state the dates of joining and relieving and the nature of duties; for current employment, an appointment letter or identity card plus the last three months' pay slips. Self-declarations are not accepted.
• Age relaxation: 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), 5 years for SC/ST, 10/13/15 years for persons with benchmark disabilities (UR/OBC/SC-ST), 5 years for Jammu & Kashmir domiciles of 1980-89 and ex-servicemen as per Government of India rules. Reserved-category candidates applying against unreserved posts get no age or fee relaxation.
• Posting: Project sites and offices across India, including Rampura Agucha and Debari (Rajasthan), Malanjkhand, Ranchi, Burnpur, Durgapur, Bhilai, Bokaro, Vizag, Bacheli, Nagarnar, Paradip, Rourkela, Bellary, Donimalai, Nasik, Mumbai and Bangalore.
• Benefits named in the advertisement: site allowance of 7.5% of pay (2.5% metro allowance at metro postings), an annual increment of 3% of consolidated pay, company or client accommodation where available or HRA at 5%, medical facilities, 12 days casual leave, 18 days earned leave and 14 days half-pay leave, and a group personal accident cover of Rs. 25 lakh.

Application Submission Notes

Applications are accepted online only through the MECON recruitment portal between 3 October 2026 and 17 October 2026. The application fee of Rs. 500 (UR, OBC-NCL and EWS; SC, ST, PwBD, ex-servicemen and internal candidates are exempt) is paid through the payment gateway in the form, and the advertisement asks you to click "Verify" after payment so that the application status changes to "Submitted". Selection is by personal interview; the interview list, date and venue are published on the MECON website and sent to registered e-mail addresses. Outstation candidates called for interview are reimbursed III-tier AC rail fare or Rs. 7 per km by road, whichever is less. Document verification and a medical examination precede appointment.
